NP Dogs Terms and Conditions
Group Classes
Groups Classes consist of Puppy and Beginner Courses, Follow on Courses as well as several ad-hoc courses that can consist of one or more session. Each group class will have many other dogs and handlers beside you. We do our utmost to provide a welcome environment to dogs of all ages, abilities and temperaments. On occasion the instructor or helper may provide reasonable requests if your dog is being disruptive or poses a safety risk. We will do our best to ensure your dog can continue to learn in the group setting but as a last resort you may be asked to take your dog out of the class and offered alternative training if necessary.
By booking into a group class you are reserving a space for you and your dog. Each course has a limited number of spaces determined by venue size and the type of training on offer. As such cancelling or moving a booking for a group class can be costly for NP Dogs. Because of this we ask for 7 days notice before a course begins if you need to either cancel or amend your booking. If a change is requested in this time frame a refund can be issued for the booking amount less any transaction fees incurred by the business. Cancellations or changes with less than 7 days notice are not automatically entitled to a refund and will instead be handled on a discretionary basis by NP Dogs.
In rare circumstances it may be necessary for a single session of a group class to be cancelled. This could be due to adverse weather conditions, venue issues or sickness of the instructor. In these circumstances we will do our utmost to mitigate the issues and ensure the class goes ahead. Should the class be cancelled the most likely outcome is that the course dates will be amended to ensure all sessions go ahead. If the classes are rearranged no refunds or compensation can be issued. If the class cannot be rearranged you will be refunded the value of the classes that were cancelled (pro rata).

For outdoor classes bad weather is not considered sufficient reason to cancel classes unless it is consider unsafe for the dogs. NP Dogs will make the judgement on if the class will be cancelled. We recommend one handler per dog at classes, under no circumstances should a single handler have two dogs, even if they have paid for two spaces on the group class. All handlers should be over 16 years old or supervised by a responsible parent/guardian. If you want to bring additional individuals to observe the class one additional person can come alongside a handler. For any more please contact NP Dogs before the class. If you are unable to attend a group class training materials will be sent to you via the email address provided when booking. We are unable to refund or rearrange any class bookings due to you being unable to attend, regardless of the circumstances.

One to One Bookings

One to one (121) bookings are designed to give you bespoke training and advice to suit your dogs needs. They will take place either in your home, a dedicated training field (additional fee applies) or outdoors near your home. If the 121 occurs in your home it is your responsibility to ensure a safe environment for both the instructor and your dog. This means than unless instructed no other dogs should be present and distractions should be kept to a minimum.

One to ones are booked either individually or as part of a package. All one to ones are expected to take place within three calendar months of the date of booking. NP Dogs will do their utmost to offer sessions/times for the 121 that suit both the schedule of the business and yourselves. NP Dogs is not obliged to have sessions that fit your schedule exactly and some flexibility is expected for the individual making the booking. Information on scheduling can be obtained by emailing info@npdogs.co.uk . If there are outstanding sessions three months after the date of booking these are considered void and no refund can be offered. It is at the sole discretion of NP Dogs if the booking window for 121 sessions can be extended.

Once an individual session has been scheduled it can be rescheduled as long as three days’ notice are provided to NP Dogs. If less than three days’ notice has been provided, then the session is considered to have been redeemed and cannot be refunded. It is at the sole discretion of NP Dogs on if this rule can be waived.

If a package of training has been booked and you no longer wish to proceed with the course, a refund can be issued at the discretion of NP Dogs, minus the value of any sessions that have already taken place and transaction fees incurred by the business. As a reminder, changing canine behaviour is a gradual, incremental process that does not provide results overnight. We ask for your patience and cooperation through the process in assessing and helping your dog.

Additional Information
NP Dogs does their utmost to provide a safe and secure environment in both 121 and group classes. Dogs are animals and as such can be unpredictable. NP Dogs provides supervision and instruction on the safe handling and interaction with dogs. Failure to follow these instructions can increase the risk to handlers and bystanders and is the responsibility of the individuals involved and not NP Dogs.
Please note we are reward based trainers, which for the most part, will be food/treat rewards. If you dog is on a strictly controlled diet or is unable to have treats please contact NP Dogs prior to booking you training sessions.
